Archeology

The Archeology series uses cyanotype and watercolor to remind us of the razor’s edge between the real and the imagined. The series combines the two mediums into abstract images that provoke questions like, “How much does our mind invent after an experience? What elements are omitted? What artificial monoliths loom large in our minds?” Our perception of matter and light can evolve over time through memory, and sometimes in radically different ways from one individual to another. The images here play with these concepts directly as the artist combines photographic exposures with colors of feeling and impression.
